Who needs to attend dangerous goods awareness?

Regulations require anyone dealing with dangerous goods by road to attend a suitable course.

Consignors, consignees, carriers, managers, supervisors, loaders, packers, fillers, tank-container / portable tank operators and anyone else involved with the carriage of dangerous goods by road.

Courses must be carried out by approved training providers. Each K Training trainer is individually approved by SQA and comes from an industry background.

Course content

Regulations, training requirements, thresholds on carrying limited quantities, criminal and civil implications, Personal Protective Equipment, fire prevention, fire types and extinguisher types, United Nations Codes (Classes, Identification codes), packaging, responsibilities of each party, emergency action, vehicle marking, equipment and documentation.

However, K Training could incorporate your Company’s own specific procedures whenever possible.

Test

A test is given to each delegate to ensure competence.

Certificate

A certificate is awarded to each successful delegate to update your training records and is valid for five years.

Cost

The cost for each course is £600 + VAT (per day) for up to ten delegates and can be carried out on your premises. The cost per delegate to attend our schedule courses is £99 + VAT.
